It is easy to get caught up in the negative. When somebody asks you, "How was your day?" , it's easy to remember the bad, the inconvenient, and the annoying. "My boss said this to me." "Couldn't get my car to start." "My body feels like garbage." "It would have been fine but so and so did this to me."
I had noticed that I had started to become a bit of a.....complainer. Sigh. I had not wanted to be one of those. So how do you counter negative talk? You guessed it. Gratitude! Make it your goal this week to say at least two things that you are grateful for every time you go to sleep. It can be as simple as, I am thankful that I am alive and breathing.
For me, today? I am thankful that Scottie is coming home tonight safely and that I finally got off my butt to start this blog!
